June 11, 2025Today’s Sunday Guardian features an insightful reflection from Malik Howard, a student of Trinity College, Moka, Maraval College and participant in the HARCON National Youth Sustainability and ESG (NYSESG) Pilot Project.
Through this initiative, Malik and his peers are gaining practical exposure to sustainability and ESG principles—transforming abstract concepts into actionable learning. From grappling with the realities of greenwashing to meeting trailblazers like Dareem Jeffrey of Ecowash, Malik’s journey is a compelling example of how this programme is equipping youth with the tools, vision, and confidence to make a difference.
As Malik reminds us, “We may not be able to do everything, but we can do something.” At HARCON, we are proud to support that “something” becoming a lifelong commitment to leadership, innovation, and impact.
